Kotel Children’s Home was born from a simple desire: to create a safe and loving place where children can receive care, guidance, and an opportunity to build a better future.

The name Kotel comes from the names of its founder, combining “Ko” from Kokutaaka, “Te” from Teddy, and “L” from Lutazigolokwa. What began as a personal commitment to caring for children grew into a vision of creating a home where children could feel loved, valued, protected, and supported.

In 2022, the journey began with Kotel Daycare, providing care and support to young children. As the need for a safe and caring environment continued to grow, the work expanded.

In 2024, Kotel Children’s Home was established to provide a home and continued support for children who need care, guidance, and encouragement. The home has continued to grow, with a focus not only on meeting children’s everyday needs but also on helping them develop their talents, confidence, values, and practical skills.

At Kotel, we believe that caring for a child goes beyond providing food and shelter. Children need love, attention, education, guidance, protection, opportunities to play, and the freedom to discover what they can become.

Through activities such as crocheting, music and dance, games, spiritual guidance, Bible study, education, and mentorship, we encourage the children to develop skills and discover their individual abilities.

Our journey is still growing. We are working toward creating an even stronger and more sustainable home where children can receive the care they need and prepare for a brighter future.

We are grateful to everyone who has supported Kotel Children’s Home in any way. Whether through donations, encouragement, prayers, skills, time, or simply sharing our story, every contribution helps us continue this journey.

Our story is a story of hope, commitment, and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to grow, dream, and become the best version of themselves.
